Easy Easel Card

This week's workshop will cover a quick easy way to make easel cards. Host Code: PUDX4XCD INSTRUCTIONS: Cut 2 of the largest rectangle die from the Ornate Garden Suite dies on Whisper White card stock. Cut 2 of the next size rectangle on Magenta Madness card stock. On a large scrap of Whisper White card stock, stamp the large flower and color with the Stampin Blend markers. Fussy cut the flowers. Cut another recrangle die to serve as stopper in Magenta Madness card stock. Measure the width of the first rectangles and add 2 onches. Cut a 2" wide strip of cardstock by the previous measurement.2" to anchor under the base of your creation, then add on the width measurement. (i.e. in my case my card base/ die cut is 3 7/8" so my total strip measurement is 5 7.8 x 2"). Score at 2" as that is your anchor then simply fold the remaining length in half inwards creating a small triangle. After you glue the 2" part to the underside you then glue your top layer onto the BOTTOM half of the remaining strip and voila you have your easel mechanism and you can use it no matter what you are using for your front and base. Decorate with flower, rhinestones, etc. Product List

Saturday Night Crafters

Hello everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was really good. Saturday I worked on birthday cards for family and friends for the month of June. I like to make all of my cards at the end of the previous month, or at the beginning of the current month. I took a nice long nap when I finished. That was really nice.

Saturday night, the Saturday Night Crafters and I had a really great time. We made two cards. The first card, the Puzzle Card, was so easy and quick we finished and had an hour left. Then we made another card, which I can’t remember the name of it.

I found this card on Pinterest, submitted by Deb Valder, thanks Deb!

This beautiful card was made by someone, but I can’t remember who. I’m so sorry.

Have a Blessed week!

Kitten’s Day

Hello again,

Happy Friday! Things are going well. Tuesday, my first great grandchild was born. Jada Anne Monica Kelley. That’s a lot of name. She is a big girl, 9 lbs 10 oz, 23” long. She already has Granny’s heart and I haven’t even held her. With this pandemic, it will be a while.

This Saturday, the Saturday Night Crafters will make a puzzle card. It’s not really a puzzle, but that’s the name.

I saw this on Pinterest and decided to make it. We should have plenty of time, it’s not that difficult . Thanks Deb Valder for the inspiration. Of course, I’ll have to put my spin on it. She gave the measurements, which will make it easier to make.

Once I’m done, I’ll try to remember to add it to my blog.
That’s all for now.
Take care,
Kitten

Kitten’s Day

Today was a great day. The StampinUp catalog launched and everything looks so good. I’m not sure what I want to order first. I’m probably going to get the Artistry Blooms bundle https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/productdetails.aspx?productid=154150. My downline, Michelle, is having a workshop to introduce the suite to our crafting group, Saturday Night Crafters.

I hosted a Launch Party this evening to celebrate the launch of the new StampinUp catalog. We had a great turnout. The participants were very enthusiastic and said they enjoyed seeing the new products and the samples I made. They all said they will have a hard time deciding what to order first.

These cards were made with the Painted Poppies Stamp Set, Timeless Tulips Bundle and the Perennial Flower Punch.  Next week, the Saturday Night Crafters will work on the Puzzle Card, beautiful yet very simple.

Till next time,
Kitten
